September: Missy Chatelain

We are building a culture of champions at Mary, Queen of Peace. 

A culture of champions is a place where each one of us works on being a champion of our mission – to foster life-changing encounters with Jesus. This means each one of us works on truly buying into this mission and behaving in ways that make the mission real. 

Over the next few months, we will highlight some of our MQP Champions (and there are many!) in the bulletin. If you have someone to suggest, email Karen Baker at [email protected]. 

This month's MQP Champion is Missy Chatelain, who coordinates Hospitality Sunday with her husband, Kim, team of volunteers and is assisted by Director of Hospitality Elizabeth Duracher.

Missy handles whatever comes her way with faith, kindness, and calm. Whether it's running out of donuts and having to send Kim to the store or juggling Fr. Cooper's décor ideas, Missy does it all with a smile. She lives radical hospitality not only on Hospitality Sundays but also by filling in at our front desk, and her fundamentally relational nature is evident when she offers to sit with a friend's children or pick up someone's teen at high school.

Missy lives the mission, and she is a true MQP Champ!
