Sometimes family life can seem a bit chaotic. It can feel like waves are crashing in on us, the wind is knocking us over, and our boats are about to tip. That's why we developed our Family Faith Formation program for children in K-7th grade. We invite Christ into our chaos and center our families around Jesus in the Eucharist. As we come to know our Catholic faith and encounter Jesus within our home and through the sacraments, we reach the understanding of the "peace that surpasses all knowledge" and rest in the peace of Christ. He quiets the storms within us and says "Be still and know that I am God." Our Christ in the Chaos program includes a monthly session here at MQP and at-home sessions the rest of each month. Taught in sync with the liturgical season of the Church, CIC dives into the richness of the Catholic faith and provides parents the resources they need to form their children in the faith.
Christ in the Chaos is the Family Faith Formation program at Mary, Queen of Peace. It fulfills the religious education requirement for families with children who are not enrolled in the Catholic school system. Through this program, families will encounter Christ during our monthly on-campus Family Gatherings (Mondays 6-7:00 PM), deepening their relationship with the Lord. In addition, families will grow in faith and knowledge through the monthly Family Packets sent home to support ongoing formation throughout the month.
