For over 50 years, citizens opposed to abortion have gathered at the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. to stand for the dignity of every human life. Though Roe v. Wade has been overturned, the fight to end abortion continues. Over two decades ago, the Archdiocese of New Orleans began offering this pilgrimage to local high school students. Today, it has grown into a delegation of hundreds of teens from Catholic high schools and parish youth groups, joining hundreds of thousands from across the nation in a peaceful witness for life. Archbishop Gregory Aymond will once again join us for this powerful experience.
This journey offers our young people the chance to experience the history of our nation’s capital while deepening their faith through inspiring ministry with The Vigil Project. Accompanied by clergy, seminarians, and dedicated chaperones, youth ministers lead each bus in prayer, formation, and community. Every day is filled with historical, educational, and spiritual opportunities that invite teens into a true encounter with Jesus Christ and the richness of our Catholic faith.
