Spread Comfort and Joy
You help spread Comfort and Joy by gathering and wrapping enough yarn to create wigs and flowers for pediatric cancer patients. We cannot do it without you.
We begin by asking for your prayers. We are also seeking to raise monetary donations to purchase skeins of yarn, and we need volunteers. With your generosity and time, we know this parish can help shine Christ's light to the little ones battling cancer.

Sometimes the simplest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. MQP Cares is a ministry dedicated to bringing comfort, encouragement, and the love of Christ to parishioners who may be experiencing illness, loss, loneliness, welcoming a new baby, or facing other difficult circumstances.
Our volunteers reach out through personal visits, prayer, and thoughtful care packages to remind individuals and families that they are not alone and that their parish family is walking with them. During each visit, volunteers take time to listen, offer prayer, and help connect recipients with parish resources or services that may be beneficial.
MQP Cares also celebrates the gift of new life by welcoming new moms and their babies with a special care package that includes an MQP baby onesie, along with prayers and encouragement from our parish family. It is a simple but meaningful way to share our joy and support during this special season of life.
Whether someone needs a little extra encouragement or ongoing support, MQP Cares seeks to be a visible sign of Christ’s compassion and the caring spirit of our parish community.

In October, join us in the Box of Joy campaign, a beautiful opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with children in need around the world. Through this effort, our parish, school, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Daughters partner together to fill shoebox-sized gifts with small toys, clothing, school supplies, and other meaningful items for children who may otherwise receive little or nothing at Christmas.Box of Joy is a ministry of Cross Catholic Outreach that helps parishes, schools, families, and groups bring the hope of Christ to children in developing countries. Each box becomes more than a gift—it is a sign of love, dignity, and joy, reminding a child that they are seen, remembered, and cherished. Each child who receives a Box of Joy also receives a rosary and a booklet in their own language that shares the story of Jesus.
This campaign is a simple and powerful way for our whole MQP family to put faith into action. Families can pack a box together, students can participate through the school, and parishioners can support the effort through donations, prayer, and volunteer help. Whether you fill one box or help behind the scenes, your generosity can become a moment of grace for a child and a family across the world.Save the Dates

Each year, the Thanksgiving Drive brings Christ's love, comfort, and hope to families facing food insecurity in our community. Through partnerships with organizations such as the Samaritan Center, STARC, Family Reach, and our own St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mary, Queen of Peace parishioners help provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need. Every adopted family receives our prayers, a basket of donated food items, and a grocery gift card to purchase fresh produce, dairy products, and meat.
The ministry culminates in a special Thanksgiving Drive Distribution and Luncheon at MQP, where adopted families and volunteers gather in a spirit of gratitude, fellowship, and community. More than a meal, this ministry is an opportunity to share the love of Christ and remind families that they are seen, valued, and supported.
There are many ways to get involved by sharing your time, talents, and treasures. Whether you donate food, volunteer at the event, help organize baskets, or support the ministry financially, your generosity helps make Thanksgiving a little brighter for local families.Save the Date

The Christmas Angels ministry is one of the most cherished ways our parish shares the joy of Christ's birth with those in need. Each year, Mary, Queen of Peace parishioners have the opportunity to "adopt" Christmas Angels-children, seniors, veterans, and adults with special needs-helping make the season brighter through gifts, prayer, and acts of kindness. In addition, families receive a grocery gift certificate to help them celebrate Christmas with a special meal.
More than a gift drive, Christmas Angels is an opportunity to become part of someone's Christmas story. Through the generosity of our parish family, individuals who may otherwise feel forgotten are reminded that they are loved, valued, and remembered. Every gift given becomes a tangible sign of God's care and the compassion of our community.
The celebration continues with our Christmas Angel Distribution and Luncheon, where volunteers and recipient families gather in a spirit of gratitude, fellowship, and Christmas joy. It is a beautiful reminder that the true gift of the season is the love of Christ shared with one another.
There are many ways to participate. You can adopt an angel, make a financial donation, assist with gift sorting and wrapping, volunteer at the distribution event, or simply keep our families in your prayers. Every act of generosity helps make Christmas a little brighter for those we serve.Save the Dates
