Seraphim Singers

It is so exciting to be starting the Seraphim Singers again for the 2026-2027 school year! This year, we will learn, grow, lead music, and sing together! The Seraphim Singers are open to children in 3rd-7th grade. We will meet every other Tuesday (unless otherwise noted) as well as on the Sunday morning we sing at Mass. This will allow us to learn more about music, harmony, the Mass, liturgical music, and get to learn music during rehearsal for our Christmas Concert in December. The fall will be focused on serving at 9:30am Family Masses and the Christmas Concert. In the spring, we will begin singing every other Sunday (twice per month) and will switch between 9:30am Masses and 11:30am Masses. Our first rehearsal is Tuesday, August 11. Registration is due by Friday, August 21, 2026. Please note that this deadline is after our first Mass together. The first rehearsal (August 11) and Mass (August 16)  can be treated as a “trial run” for your child to decide if they’d like to commit to this program.

Rehearsal Times: 
4:00-5:00pm every other Tuesday starting August 11 in the church
8:30-9:15am OR 10:30am- 11:15am on the Sunday we sing in Room 11, Parish Center

Rehearsal structure:
4:00-4:05- settle in and pray 
4:05-4:15- warm ups (2)
4:15-4:35- learn and rehearse harmonies for 2 songs 
4:35-4:50- work on our music for the weekend OR for the Christmas Concert 
4:50-5:00pm- read the gospel together and discuss why we are using the songs selected OR learn music theory (on weeks we are not singing at Mass)
