Student Leadership Team

The purpose of the Student Leadership Team is to support the mission of Pax Youth: to foster life-changing encounters with Jesus for teens. Teens on the Student Leadership Team will have unique opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus by participating in monthly mini-retreats / leadership trainings (“Upper Room”) and small group discipleship. These opportunities will be designed to help teens develop leadership skills to then foster life-changing encounters with Jesus for their peers while also “filling their cup.”

Teens will participate in both Rooted Groups and Reach Nights. Each teen on the leadership team will be assigned to a Rooted Group where they will work with the mentor to plan and in some cases lead small groups. Teens will also be responsible for helping to foster fellowship and a sense of community among those in the small group. Teens will also be expected to attend 1-2 Reach nights per semester. At these nights, teens will work with the hospitality team to make peers feel welcomed and known and help them get plugged into our community.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a confirmed and practicing Catholic
• Must be in 11th or 12th grade
• Must be committed to attending leadership meetings, weekly Rooted Group, Reach Nights, and team events.
• Applications are due by Friday, January 2nd, 2026. 

Our next SLT Training will be Saturday, January 3. A full calendar will be available soon. 


This semester Rooted Groups will meet weekly starting the week of Monday, September 15th and end the week of Monday, December 15th. Day of the week and time will vary depending on which group the student leader is assigned to.
