Welcome Tasha Sibley

Mary, Queen of Peace Parish is delighted to announce that Tasha Sibley will serve as our new Pastoral Team Assistant effective June 29, 2026.

As the Pastoral Team Assistant, Tasha will serve as a crucial support person for the Pastoral
Staff, ensuring proper planning, execution, and follow-up for our pastoral, communication, and development functions. Tasha has a heart to truly understand the inner workings of the Pastoral Ministry Team and embrace the mission and vision of Mary, Queen of Peace in order to effectively provide support and ensure the efficient functioning of all facets of ministry. Tasha is a passionate missionary disciple who understands the pastoral nature of administration as self-gift and service to others.

Tasha brings a background in higher education and campus ministry administration,
communications, and a deep commitment to her Catholic faith. Most recently, she served in the Office of Career Services at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she supported the day-to-day operations of the office and its career services team.

A practicing Catholic, Tasha feels called to parish ministry and is honored to serve the MQP community. Refreshed from a five-day silent directed retreat, she is genuinely excited to be joining such a wonderful team, saying: “Joining the Mary, Queen of Peace parish family feels
like an answer to prayer. I sense God has been preparing me for this role through every step of my journey, and I’m truly grateful for the chance to walk with this community. I can’t wait to get to know all of you.

Fr. Cooper writes, “One of the most challenging aspects of Church ministry is the unseen nature of the work. If you are effective in your ministry, then the glory does not go to you. You willingly submit yourself to be a servant to all. And this reveals our true hearts and motives in this role. If we serve to glorify ourselves, to gain our own accolades, or grow our platform, we will become tired and weary, frustrated, and forgotten. However, if we know that this role is shaping us to be more like Christ in His humility and servanthood, then we serve to become more like Him, and through that, we glorify God. In our work, we will grow in our satisfaction and joy knowing we get to take part in His Kingdom. Tasha truly has a servant’s heart, and I believe she will magnify the Lord by supporting the pastoral and spiritual works of MQP.”
